A 67-year staple of Woodinville is working on a comeback.
WOODINVILLE, Wash. —The now closed home and garden store, Molbak’s, has a new vision for its space to be used by the community. The project will be called the ' Green Phoenix Collaborative .'of a separate planned development for the location.
Under the Green Phoenix Collaborative, the space could hold a farmer’s market, fall gatherings, and a winter holiday market. There could also be a community garden, expert-led classes, and workshops on gardening and landscaping. “We’re eager to find collaborators and partners who want to work with us to bring the Green Phoenix Collaborative vision to life,” said Kouhia. “Together, we can create something compelling that will inform, inspire, and empower people to take action.”However, the project will come at a cost. Molbak’s is asking for donations. They are trying to raise $2.5 million to fund the project. The company said $1 million will go to annual building expenses like insurance, maintenance, and utilities.
