Three women were arrested at the Miami airport after they allegedly got on a Frontier flight without paying for an extra carry-on bag, authorities say

Three women were detained at Miami International Airport after they allegedly wouldn’t pay for an extra carry-on bag and “rushed” onto a plane, according to their arrest reports. When Nafisa Dockery, Davana Cochran and Dionjana Cochran were checking into their Frontier Airlines flight bound for Philadelphia on Sunday, March 29, they had two carry-on bags but only paid for one, authorities said, according to WTVJ.

A verbal argument between the women and an employee ensued after the employee told the women that they had to pay for their additional carry-on bag, according to an arrest report obtained by the TV station. The employee warned Dockery, 30, Davana, 26, and Dionjana, 21, that they would not be allowed on the flight unless they paid for the extra bag, the arrest report said. “We don’t have to listen, let’s just go,” Dockery told the other two women, according to the report obtained by People. Then the trio “rushed onto the aircraft” after entering a “clearly marked restricted area,” the report said, People reported. While on the plane, all three women allegedly refused to leave when deputies responded and told them they had to exit the aircraft, according to the arrest report, which said their boarding passes were made inactive. The Miami-Dade County sheriff’s deputies ultimately evacuated all passengers from the plane, the report said, WPLG reported. While leaving the aircraft, Dockery “spat on” an airline employee, authorities said, according to the TV station. Then Dockery, Davana and Dionjana allegedly became involved in a “brief struggle” with deputies while they were being taken into custody, according to authorities, the TV station reported. Dockery was arrested on charges of battery, trespassing, and resisting an officer without violence, court records viewed by Us Weekly show. Davana and Dionjana were each charged with trespassing and resisting an officer without violence, according to court records. All three women were appointed public defenders, but court records did not immediately list their names as of Tuesday, March 31. The incident involving the women resulted in a roughly one-hour delay for the passengers who were flying to Philadelphia from Miami on the Frontier flight, according to the arrest report viewed by WPLG. Dockery, Davana and Dionjana were booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami the early morning of Monday, March 30, according to the TV station.
