A Mobile woman seeking help after being shot in the neck stopped at a gas station Thursday morning. Police are investigating the shooting which occurred around 8 a.m. two blocks away from the Speed Stop station on Government Street. The victim's baby, who was with her during the incident, was unharmed.

“Upon arrival, officers discovered a female victim suffering a gunshot wound to the neck, which did not appear to be life-threatening at the time of contact,” the official said. A baby was with the woman during the incident but was unharmed and secured by officers until a family member was contacted, according to the spokesperson.
