The jury in the Tamara McLoyd trial found the 19-year-old woman guilty of multiple charges, including aggravated murder, in the shooting death of an off-duty Cleveland police officer.
The jury delivered the verdict on Wednesday afternoon less than 24 hours since they broke for deliberations.
McLoyd was initially indicted on ten charges for the killing of Cleveland officer Shane Bartek during a 2021 New Year’s Eve carjacking in Cleveland’s West Park neighborhood.“She was a terrorist on our streets,” Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley said.
