A woman died when she got out of a moving vehicle while intoxicated.
A woman died Wednesday after she got out of a moving pickup as it traveled down Galveston Road in southeast Houston, police said.
The woman and the man driving the pickup were both intoxicated and traveling along the 7300 block of Galveston Road. The woman was sitting in the passenger's seat, took off her seatbelt, exited the car and landed on the pavement, the Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division told Metro Video Services. The driver stopped the car and asked for someone to call the police around 10 p.m.The man was detained for driving while intoxicated, officers said.
The man and woman may have been having an argument and the driver admitted both of them had been drinking, according to officers.
