Houston police released more information on Monday about a fatal three-vehicle crash.
Police said it happened around 4:30 p.m. at 3601 Tidwell Rd. near the intersection at the Eastex Freeway service road.
The woman was traveling southbound on the Eastex Freeway Road in a tan Honda Accord. Authorities said she made a U-turn and did not control her speed. The Honda crashed into a curb and a maroon Toyota Tacoma that was heading eastbound on Tidwell Road. The Honda went airborne, flipped and collided with a black Mercedes Benz that was traveling eastbound on Tidwell.
The Houston Fire Department pronounced the 79-year-old woman dead at the scene. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences is working to identify the woman.Copyright 2023 by KPRC Click2Houston - All rights reserved.
