A Dothan woman faces murder charges related to a shooting late Thursday.

DOTHAN, Ala. - A Dothan woman faces murder charges related to a shooting late Thursday during which a man was shot several times.30-year-old Terrance Lewis, Jr. of Troy died in the gunfire, Dale County Coroner John Cawley confirmed.

The shooting occurred during a party at Midtown Apartments when, during an argument, Jackson went to her car and retrieved a gun she fired numerous times, with seven bullets striking Lewis according to Midland City Police Chief Willy Powell.Investigators don’t believe the alleged shooter and victim knew each other before Thursday night, Powell said.and receive the latest local news and weather straight to your email every morning.
