The 43-year-old Philadelphia woman faces multiple charges filed by Wildwood Crest police.
An “out of control” 43-year-old woman got rough with a 10-year-old boy in a swimming pool at a Jersey Shore motel on Monday and then fought with the child’s dad and Wildwood Crest police when they tried to intervene, officials said.
Wildwood Crest police were called to the motel on the 6200 block of Ocean Avenue at about 2:30 p.m. and were told the Philadelphia woman grabbed the boy, swung him around in the pool and dunked him underwater, authorities said. She is not related to the 10-year-old, police said. When the boy’s father tried to stop her, the woman jumped on the man’s back and grabbed him inappropriately, Wildwood Crest police said.
As officers spoke with the woman, she turned belligerent and when an officer tried to handcuff her, she pushed him in the face, according to police. She remained “highly uncooperative and combative” after being taken into custody, police said.Police charged the woman with endangering the welfare of children, two counts of aggravated assault on law enforcement, resisting arrest, criminal sexual contact, failure to allow fingerprinting, harassment and disorderly conduct.
