The rooftop eatery offers a dazzling 270-degree ocean view

AP Rooftop, a third-story eatery with an elevated view of the ocean, is opening in Asbury Park under the McLoone's Restaurants umbrella. , a new upscale, upstairs eatery, is opening its doors this week along the boardwalk. The business is expected to open Thursday or Friday although an exact date has not been determined, owner Tim McLoone told NJ Advance Media.“It’s going to be a different concept than our other places,” McLoone said.

“We can’t just drop dead in January,” McLoone explained, noting the restaurant will be open year-round. “That way we can keep people employed, we don’t have to shut down for a couple of months and rebuild the whole staff.” McLoone pointed to the shore town’s diversity as a reason for another business opening in Asbury Park.
