A Middleburg Heights woman was arrested for DUI after crashing her SUV into a mailbox and then physically assaulting police officers.
A Middleburg Heights woman was arrested for DUI after crashing her SUV into a mailbox in Brook Park, Ohio. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. on December 25th on Engle Road. Police responded to a call about a crash and found the woman stumbling outside her vehicle, which was stopped in a front yard. She smelled of alcohol, spoke slurred, and admitted to drinking beers and shots of whiskey.
The woman also stated she had taken Ambien and Trazodone, medications that can cause confusion and dizziness when combined. She failed field sobriety tests and became aggressive at the police station, pushing officers and hitting one in the chest. During the booking process, she attempted to leave and again pushed officers, striking another in the chest.
