MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio -- A Cleveland Heights woman, 66, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance around 5 p.m. Aug. 15 after she was seen snorting drugs at Oakville Park in the presence of children.
She later claimed that it was Percocet but the drugs recovered were believed to be pressed fentanyl pills and were sent for testing. Officers had stopped the woman’s vehicle for slow speed as it exited Interstate-271 less than an hour earlier. She was incoherent at the time but refused to be taken to a hospital after paramedics examined her. She requested a ride to her sister’s house on Belrose Road but when officers took her there, she asked to be dropped off at Oakville Park instead.
