Alexis Jenkins is accused of kidnapping a child, Mikai, from a vehicle that ran out of gas on Interstate 65. Jenkins faces first-degree kidnapping and theft of property charges. The child was initially left in the car with a stranger by his grandmother who offered her a ride.
According to the Mobile Police Department, Alexis Jenkins is accused of taking a child from a vehicle that ran out of gas on Interstate 65 .On Friday, little Mikai was reported missing after a family member says he was left in the car with a woman.Jenkins is charged with first-degree kidnapping and theft of property.According to the mother Miracle Howze, she doesn’t know Jenkins and has never met her before.
“My mom got on the phone and she was just screaming and I’m like hey mom where’s my baby at,” Howze said. “Forget the screaming I’m like where’s my baby and she said someone got him. Someone took him. The girl got him.”
