He referred to a quote from ASIO boss Mike Burgess from ABC's ‘Insiders’ on Sunday, saying,"If they’ve been issued a visa they’ve gone through the process. Through his omission of the key phrase, “where criteria are hit”, Mr Albanese had suggested the security organisation was involved in the visa process for all Gazans, which supported his remarks from Wednesday. “What the PM did here was he read out a sentence but excluded part of that sentence and he skipped over the words, which gave the qualification that Mike Burgess gave during his interview on the weekend,” Mr Dutton said.
“I've never seen somebody in that chair as prime minister be accused of deliberately misleading the parliament, in my 20 odd years in this Parliament," he said.
