The federal Opposition Leader highlighted the government’s announcement of a $3.6 billion package to boost the pay of childcare workers, with the government funding a 10 per cent pay increase from December this year and another five per cent from December 2025. The Opposition Leader said he would “love to see pay rises for childcare workers” because Australian workers have “actually gone backwards” over the past two years.

“It's not just mortgage payments that have increased under Labor. When you go to the supermarket, you know that every time you put your card over or pay cash at the checkout, you're getting less and less for that money. That's because inflation is such a big issue.”
