Kailee Brantner, 22, allegedly attacked her fiancé with a kitchen knife during an argument about their wedding venue. The incident stemmed from messages exchanged between Brantner and the victim's mother, leading to a confrontation that escalated into violence.

A 22-year-old woman from Wisconsin , Kailee Brantner, was arrested after allegedly stabbing her fiancé during an argument over their wedding venue. According to a complaint cited by WITI, the incident began when the victim woke up to text messages and screenshots between Brantner and his mother, leading to a heated confrontation. When the victim returned home from work early, Brantner reportedly attacked him without warning.

He shoved her, but she followed him into the kitchen and grabbed a large kitchen knife with a pink handle. The victim claimed Brantner attacked him, tearing his shirt off, and chased him into the basement while brandishing the knife. He alleged that she swung the knife at him several times, striking him. She then pursued him back upstairs and, when he turned to face her, swung the knife twice more, one strike cutting his neck. According to the victim's account, Brantner stepped back when he dropped to his knees.Officers who responded to the scene discovered a large kitchen knife with a pink handle and red liquid on the blade, suggesting it was used in the attack. The victim, who was taken to the emergency room, admitted to striking Brantner in self-defense and stated that he might have bitten her finger during the altercation. Brantner also spoke to investigators, stating that she and her fiancé had been physically involved in the past. She claimed that after discussing the wedding venue with him and his mother, she became uncomfortable with him being in the home near her daughter due to alleged text messages she had received from him during the argument.Brantner told authorities that she pushed the victim first, but as their argument escalated, he punched her, and she scratched him. She claimed to have grabbed the knife but set it down before picking it up again when her fiancé threw her on the kitchen floor. She stated that he told her 'she was not going to win and laughed that she was going to get her daughter taken away,' and followed him into the basement with the knife, demanding he leave the house. Brantner acknowledged that the knife made contact with the victim, and she said she retrieved a towel and applied pressure to stop the bleeding. She then sat with her daughter on the couch to avoid being accused of fleeing the scene.
