The principal allegedly failed to alert authorities an 11-year-old student brought a gun to school.
A Wisconsin school principal is facing a felony charge for allegedly failing to alert authorities that an 11-year-old student brought a gun to school.
The 11-year-old student allegedly pulled the trigger, but the gun did not fire. The second student fled, and later told a teacher about the gun and where it was hidden, according to the complaint. Daniels allegedly told police he found the gun in bushes on campus while doing a "perimeter check." Wisconsin lawschool administrators to immediately inform law enforcement agencies of any incident "contributing to the belief that there is a serious and imminent threat to the health or safety" of the school community.
Daniels's attorney declined to comment when reached by CITC. When reached for comment, Milwaukee Public Schools told CITC both authorities and families were notified as soon as the district became aware of the matter.
