Live updates on the 2024 presidential race after President Biden dropped out and endorsed Kamala Harris.
During a call with reporters on Tuesday, former president Donald Trump said he would “absolutely” commit to debating Vice President Harris, adding that he would be “willing to do more than one debate.” Trump, however, said that he’s “not thrilled” with ABC News. ABC News was set to host a debate between Trump and President Biden in September. Trump recently said on social media that he wants Fox News to host the next debate instead.
The former president also described Harris as “the same as Biden but much more radical,” criticized her record on the border and said she “destroyed San Francisco.” “She should be easier than Biden because she was slightly more extreme,” Trump said. Trump also made note of Harris’s failed 2020 presidential bid, observing that her “name value didn’t last long because she ended up dropping like a rock.
