Snow will develop quickly this morning and come down heavy at times through the early afternoon. Some sleet will mix in especially after noon time. The snow/sleet mix will likely accumulate 1 to 2 inches with a few isolated spots picking up as much as 3".
There will be a brief changeover to freezing rain late afternoon before the precipitation becomes plain rain this evening. Even once we've changed over to rain, the roads will likely remain sloppy and slush covered much of the time. We should see some improvement in road conditions overnight into tomorrow as temperatures continue to warm along with more rain.More rain is expected on Sunday ahead of a powerful cold front which will bring high winds to much of the area. Expect frequent gusts between 30 and 40 mph with a few damaging wind gusts approaching 60 mph. Make sure any loose objects are secured properly. Your best bet is to bring those items inside.
