Will Texas be cold on Halloween? Here's a first look forecast.

We're still over a week away from Halloween, but here's a first look at what weather models are saying for Halloween night in Texas.

Spooky season is upon us. Jack-O'-Lanterns are being carved, costumes are being crafted, and stores are stocking up on candy in preparation for next week’s festivities. Soon, neighborhoods will be filled with ghosts and goblins, ready to collect their share of treats. There’s one thing missing through — some actual chilly weather across Texas. This week, high temperatures are expected to top out in the upper 80s to low 90s across much of the state.

Instead, forecasters often use the National Blend of Models, a product developed by the National Weather Service that averages together dozens of different weather models, giving us a “best guess” solution of what’s going to happen. The National Blend of Models, or NBM, does show that above-average temperatures are favored for the entire state on Halloween, but the coolest air is still likely over northern regions.
