Court documents says John Reed, 27, was killedIt has been one week since Regene Reed learned her husband, John Reed, would never come home. He had been arrested for DUI and was being held in the Macon County jail. Regene Reed says he called her at 8 a.m.
“He can’t walk. How was he in a fight? So that’s not true. It couldn’t have been a fight. He said, ‘I’m sorry to tell you he didn’t make it,’” said Reed. “Somebody got to give me something. It has to be something done. This is not for real. This is not how justice system works,” said Reed. James said John Reed was a disabled Army veteran who demonstrated that he was a good person who was always helping his neighbors.
