Dumisani Zuma has been encouraged to up his game at Moroka Swallows at the back of a slow start for his new employers as he seeks to revive his career.
Dumisani Zuma is yet to get into gear at Moroka Swallows since arriving at the beginning of the season.From the sad end to his time at Kaizer Chiefs to the disappointing returns at AmaZulu, Dumisani Zuma has been given a pat on the back to raise his game at Moroka Swallows.
Three clubs in three consecutive seasons defines Zuma’s recent run in the DStv Premiership as he seeks a way back to prominence following a career that has been soiled by the ill-discipline issues that exploded at Chiefs.Zuma was suspended twice at Chiefs firstly for driving under the influence of alcohol and then what Chiefs described as transgressing the club’s code of conduct.
The matter at hand is that the 28-year-old now needs to justify his presence at Swallows where he started against Golden Arrows on his debut for The Birds lasting ed 81 minutes before being brought in from the bench for his other three appearances with minimal to show to date."He needs to up and be above five, six, and then you will get something out of him," says Swallows coach Steve Komphela after handing Zuma just over quarter of an hour on Wednesday night against Cape Town Spurs.
As he keeps working his way back at Swallows, of note is that Zuma hasn’t been able to play 90 minutes in his last 66 appearances at Chiefs, AmaZulu, and Swallows. The last time Zuma played a competitive football match from start to finish was on November 6, 2019, when he scored a brace for Kaizer Chiefs against Chippa United.
