Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery had a good reason for hilariously picking up a carrot instead of a turkey leg after the Lions’ Thanksgiving Day victory.

“Definitely thankful for him,” Montgomery said in his postgame interview with Wolfson, 49. “Ultimately, I’m thankful for all of the guys. We’ve got Jared leading us.”“I used to be over there, so I kinda know how that feels,” he said. “I get to a place where it’s mad love and it’s been good. I’m grateful to be here and I’m excited for what we got to do next.”
