With Thanksgiving less than a week away, several organizations are working to help those less fortunate have a happy holiday meal.

Leaders say they wanted to provide resources for Montgomery residents who may be facing food insecurity. “I’m originally from Montgomery, Alabama, so this event is very important to us because we know that there are a lot of low-income individuals and fixed-income individuals in the city of Montgomery, Alabama. We also wanted to make sure for Thanksgiving that we can make complete meals for all the families around the city, so this is a very important event for all of us today,” said She Did It Group CEO Tae Smith.
