Whole Foods Market said Wednesday it will open a new 66,000-square-foot store in Chicago’s Near North neighborhood later this month.
The store, which will be located at 3 W. Chicago Ave. in the new One Chicago high-rise, will open on April 27. The store will be nearly twice the square footage of an existing Whole Foods located a couple of blocks away at 30 W. Huron St., according to a spokesperson for the chain. The Huron Street store will close.
Whole Foods said the new store will emphasize products from Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana. The store will have a taproom and a coffee bar.
