CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cuyahoga County’s 2024 reappraisal of property taxes means it no longer has the highest tax rate per $100,000 in Ohio. Instead, the highest rate goes to a Montgomery County area near Dayton , which had the highest tax rate in the state two years ago.
Based on 2024 property tax rates being used for bills due in 2025, an area listed in Ohio Department of Taxation records as “Harrison Township/Dayton,” which is part of the Northridge Local School District, has the highest residential property taxes in the state. The rate is now $3,349 a year per $100,000 in home value, an increase of $275 from the previous year.
