Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT In The Wheel of Time episode 5, the characters are faced with several unexpected challenges and mysteries that will most certainly affect both themselves and their storylines throughout the rest of the show. The Wheel of Time is based on the novel series of the same name, and follows Moiraine , a member of the Aes Sedai, a powerful organization of women who can channel a force known as the One Power.
In the previous episode, a group of Logain's followers, a male channeler who claims to be the Dragon Reborn, attack the Aes Sedai, while Logain himself attempts to escape from prison using the One Power. The bloody conflict ends with casualties on both sides, including Kerene Nagashi who dies while trying to protect Moiraine from Logan's attack.
Rand and Mat Arrive At Tar Valon Rand and Mat travel to Tar Valon and arrive at an inn to meet with Nynaeve , the Wisdom of Emond's Field. While reading some books about the Dragon in the inn library, Rand meets an Ogier named Loial. Loial states that Rand resembles an Aiel, but Rand denies this because he wields a sword and is from the Two Rivers, an area where Aielmen are not from.
Meanwhile, Mat and Rand watch Logain being paraded around Tar Valon in a cage. Suddenly, Logain laughs madly when he sees Rand and Mat watching, indicating that they might share some kind of connection, and indeed, Logain and Rand's connection is confirmed in season 2 of The Wheel of Time.
