What to know about poll opening and closing time.

Leading off the ticket is the presidential race between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.to take time off to vote if they provide “reasonable” notice to their employers.
There are other limitations on the law. The time taken off to vote can’t exceed 1 hour. Employees whose shifts start two hours after the polls open or end at least an hour before they close aren’t eligible to take off work, either. Polls in a handful of states open at 6 a.m., including Kentucky, Louisiana and Missouri.
