Why do you think this is the moment to push that forward?We designed the Green New Deal to operate, in part, as a recovery package. The emphasis on public investment, seeding new industries, and creating millions of jobs — it makes sense as a recovery vehicle.
It’s interesting that you’re talking about power relationships, because one of the ways we’ve seen people take on the fossil fuel industry’s power is through coalition building. Can you both talk about your work with coalitions?Coalitions are something I’ve loved being a part of — just sharing ideas and movement space, and sharing what so many other organizations and people are doing. It’s really a way for us to collaborate.
