Nick Chubb may seem irreplaceable, but the Ravens have maintained a top-rushing attack for years despite a rotating cast of top ball carriers. How can the Browns repeat that success?
Start with the offensive line, on which both Cleveland and Baltimore both spend handsomely. The Ravens boast the league’s fifth-most expensive line. And while the Browns rank 21st in the same category, guards Joel Bitonio and Wyatt Teller both rank top 10 at their position in average annual value.The Browns lost right tackle Jack Conklin, who helped them earn that grade, to a torn ACL and MCL in Week 1. But the rest of their line remains intact.

The Browns don’t want to put Deshaun Watson at injury risk, but they could help Ford, Hunt and Pierre Strong by convincing defenses that Watson will keep the ball on more zone-read plays now that Chubb is out for the season. Watson has always been more of a scrambler than a runner. He only averaged 1.5 designed carries per game with the Texans, and he’s only run 19 such plays in nine games since arriving in Cleveland, according to PFF.
