Maragarita Levieva as Heather Glenn in Daredevil_ Born Again
Warning! This article contains SPOILERS for Daredevil: Born Again season 2, episode 1.Heather Glenn was dating Matt Murdock throughout Daredevil: Born Again season 1, but things have changed a lot since then, and her future looks darker than ever.
Matt Murdock has been established to be kind of a ladies' man ever since Charlie Cox debuted as the character on the original Netflix Marvel show. And despite only having appeared a handful of times in the MCU, Murdock has formed several connections from coast to coast. But one ex in particular seems to have been left more scarred and bruised than the rest after her relationship soured and ultimately dissolved. Heather Glenn Has Gone Off The Deep End In Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 In Daredevil: Born Again season 2, Heather Glenn has taken on a position working for Wilson Fisk and is providing her psychiatric expertise in the service of furthering his agenda. This is best seen when Heather interviews Jacques Duquesne, aka the Swordsman. After conducting her initial interview, Heather gets a call from the assistant district attorney, asking her to 'adjust' her report. Essentially, Heather is being asked to falsify the records to make Duquesne appear more unstable and push the court to find him guilty. She responds to this request with no hint of surprise or disapproval, which suggests she is more than happy to lie, abusing her position, her expertise, and setting a dangerous precedent. Heather Will Never Be The Same After Muse It's interesting which question Heather is seen to alter. While reviewing Jacques' interview with the recording playing, Heather chooses to alter Jacques' response to a question about seeing and being possessed by evil spirits. Notably, in this same episode, Heather has repeatedly seen a vision of Muse, the villain that she murdered in Daredevil: Born Again season 1. Evidently, Muse got inside her head and left Heather traumatized after threatening her life and breaking into her apartment. It makes perfect sense that she is being haunted by her tormentor, and despite killing him by her own hand, that has only proven to intertwine her story with his in a way that will likely shape her future as well. This is also evidenced during the interview with Jacques Duquesne, when Heather begins to zone out and see Muse. The camera angles shift, becoming askew , and highlighting the fractured and fragile mental state of Heather Glenn. Despite this, she is being entrusted with assessing other people's mental well-being, which seems like a pretty significant conflict of interest and something that may impair her judgment. Matt Murdock's Ex Could Prove To Be One Of The Biggest Threats In Daredevil: Born Again Matt Murdock has clearly moved on from Heather in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, as we can see him happily settling into a relationship with his long-term love interest, Karen Page. However, the history between Matt and Heather makes their relationship slightly more complex and very different from his other rivals and enemies, such as Wilson Fisk and Benjamin Poindexter, aka Bullseye. While Daredevil has always been opposed to murderers and crime bosses like the aforementioned criminals, Heather Glenn was a good person whom Matt developed strong feelings towards. This connection will make it harder for Matt to be objective when it comes to dealing with a threat like Heather, and arguably, her insidious methods to discredit and destroy people's characters could have a much more sinister impact. Heather's story appears to be an important one in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, and at this moment in time, it appears as though she is heading down an incredibly dangerous path. It's possible that she may be able to overcome the ghosts that continue to haunt her and turn away from the negative influences of people like Fisk and the ADA, but it's also possible that this is just the beginning, and Heather Glenn could become a much larger threat later in the season. 484 9.0/10 9/10 Daredevil: Born Again 10 stars 9 stars 8 stars 7 stars 6 stars 5 stars 4 stars 3 stars 2 stars 1 star Like Follow Followed TV-MA Drama Crime Action Sci-Fi Adventure Superhero Release Date March 4, 2025 Network Disney+ Showrunner Dario Scardapane Directors Aaron Moorhead, Justin Benson, David Boyd, Jeffrey Nachmanoff Writers Jesse Wigutow, Jill Blankenship, Thomas Wong, David Feige, Grainne Godfree Cast See All Franchise Daredevil, Marvel Cinematic Universe Creator Matt Corman, Chris Ord, Dario Scardapane Powered by Expand Collapse
