Here's what the former Alabama football coach said about his old friend adjusting to recruiting college players.

Former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick, who Saban worked for with the Cleveland Browns in the 1990s, moved into the college ranks, taking the, Saban, who retired from coaching Alabama in January, said he thinks Belichick will do a good job for the Tar Heels.
Belichick has never coached at the college level, beginning his coaching career in 1975 with the Baltimore Colts. He coached the Patriots to six Super Bowl wins, before parting ways with New England after the 2023 season. “The difference in college is, how do you bring guys to the team?” Saban said. “It’s different drafting guys, than it is to have to recruit them, because recruiting is like a full-time, relationship-building, 365 days a year in terms of not only evaluating the players that you want, but creating the relationships with them to get them.”
