Former Alabama coach talked of his love for the Tigers on Friday.
Nick Saban admitted on Friday he “probably made a mistake” leaving the LSU Tigers for the NFL’s Miami Dolphins.Saban, 73, returned to Baton Rouge with ESPN’s “College GameDay” last week, and the man who won a national championship at LSU was received well.. “Those people celebrate life. They’re great people. They have fun, and, you know, they like to have their party time before the game, there’s no question about that. The people treated me great there, and I appreciate that.
“You know, Terry and I loved it there. Probably made a mistake going back to pro ball from there. But only way we could go back to college was to go back to Alabama, but that’s a great rivalry. The LSU-Alabama is a great rivalry.” In five years at LSU, Saban compiled a 48-16 record. Saban left Baton Rouge and coached the Dolphins to a 15-17 record over two years before leaving for Tuscaloosa.. He can be heard on “The Opening Kickoff” on WNSP-FM 105.5 FM in Mobile or on the free Sound of Mobile App from 6 to 9 a.m. daily.
