Ian Doyle focuses on the performance of Ryan Gravenberch after he starred in Liverpool's 2-0 Europa League win over Union Saint-Gilloise
There has been a sense of Ryan Gravenberch slipping under the radar at Liverpool since his deadline-day arrival from Bayern Munich.
The 21-year-old put Liverpool ahead shortly before the break by reacting quickest to Trent Alexander-Arnold having his speculative effort spilled by the otherwise excellent Union goalkeeper Anthony Moris. Tall, rangy and with a burst of pace, the Holland international regularly profited from moving away from opponents on the turn – a feature of his game already apparent – and isn’t afraid to shoot, later forcing a fine save from Moris with an effort from range. And, as was shown with his goal, he has a knack for sensing opportunities.
