Father-of-one Ian Langley was killed by an 'out of control' XL Bully
The death of a dad-of-one who was killed in a ferocious attack by an XL Bully is now being treated as murder by the police.
Friend Rachael Barron, 31, said: "It's absolutely devastating that this has happened to him. He is a lovely, kind man. He's very slight of build and could not hurt a fly, he would have stood no chance against a dog as big as that, it makes me feel sick to think about it. "He was happy, he said he'd had a lovely meal and was happy to come back to Beau. He absolutely loved his dog, he was a real dog lover.
Police have since arrested a 44-year-old man on suspicion of murder, the Mirror reports, while the dog was "destroyed at the scene to ensure the safety of the public". This morning, the force said in a statement: "A murder investigation has been launched after a man was fatally injured by an XL bully type dog.
