Everton lost in astonishing fashion after being 2-0 up against Bournemouth with just three minutes to go
It was hard to believe what was unfolding. Everton had looked well on course to be heading for their first three points of the season. Leading 2-0 thanks to goals from Michael Keane and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, the Blues had played Bournemouth off the park. In fact, they should have been further ahead. But when Antoine Semenyo tapped the ball home, a horror story commenced . One that ended with Blues supporters heading for the exits, venting their anger and frustration.
One fan heading for the exit in the Main Stand simply shouted, “What’s going on, Dyche?” Another remarked, 'Rubbish again!” That jibe felt somewhat harsh given how well the Blues had played for so long of his match. But the reality is that Everton have lost again. The Blues snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Arguably the worst collapse in the club’s history. And questions are right to be asked of Dyche following this. Granted, it isn’t all his fault; there is only so much he can do.
