The superintendent stated that the district already made cuts after the levy failed to pass in November and that they would continue to implement more cuts. This could involve leaving positions unfilled, including school resource officers, reducing course options, neglecting maintenance, and increasing class sizes.
"I think it was a wise choice," said Earl Russell Harrington, president of the union for Westerville bus and van drivers and mechanics, who supported the board's decision. "We have to figure out how to get the community behind the board, and then we both need to make an aggressive effort to go down to the Capitol and make our voices known."
