Wendy Williams called in to “The Breakfast Club” Thursday morning in a plea for freedom. The 60-year-old and her niece Alex Finnie told listeners that she is “trapped” in a facility in New York with elderly patients without access to her phone or laptop while under a guardianship.
The TV personality’s loved ones have launched a GoFundMe to raise $50,000 for the talk show host, 60, who has been experiencing “loneliness and deep isolation” amid her guardianship.
“For far too long, Wendy has faced the challenges of being unjustly placed under guardianship and labeled as incapacitated, despite her strong will and determination to live her life independently,” the description reads.” “Unfortunately, they have exhausted their financial resources in their fight against this unjust guardianship and are in dire need of assistance to secure legal representation,” the caption continued. “Legal services can be prohibitively expensive, and without our support, they may struggle to navigate the complexities of the situation.
