Wells Fargo is building a new $200 million development near the corner of Las Colinas Boulevard and Promenade Parkway.
The Las Colinas project is expected to create 650 new jobs and house the bank’s 3,000 existing Dallas employees.
The state’s enterprise fund gives companies “deal-closing” grants when they are considering a new project and are deciding between sites in Texas and other states. Abbott said the Wells Fargo campus presence will continue the state’s leadership in financial services. Most employees based in the Dallas area are set to relocate to the new offices at the 22-acre site by the end of 2025, according to Wells Fargo. The $200 million development is set to receivein financial support for construction and tax incentives after the council gave the campus a thumbs up in August.
The new campus will include two 10-story, 400,000-square-foot buildings that can hold up to 4,000 workers. The offices will include a number of perks, including “well-being rooms,” gyms with remotely led classes and nearby walking and bicycle trails, as well as stand-up paddle board rentals, a cycling studio and four golf courses, according to Wells Fargo. The Irving project will also be the company’s first net-positive campus, meaning it’s expected to generate more energy than it consumes.
