After a mostly cloudy and hazy day along the Wasatch Front, a weak cold front is moving through northern Utah and should mix up the air enough for some improvement in air quality tomorrow through early next week.
Southern Utah experienced a few light rain and mountain snow showers through the day, but most of this should be moving out of the state by Saturday afternoon. Colder temperatures are in the forecast for both Saturday and Sunday statewide, and gusty gap or canyon winds are possible in southwest Utah, especially in the morning hours on Saturday and again on Sunday. Sunshine is expected early next week across the state, but a few snow showers are possible Sunday over the Uinta Mountains and the Wasatch Back. Generally, dry conditions are expected across Utah through the end of the month and into early February, according to the Climate Prediction Center. Above-normal temperatures are also in the forecast for the same period. If you are travelling anywhere east of the Rockies, through the weekend, there is a high probability of travel delays both on the ground and in the air. Be sure to check your flight or travel plans and try to avoid getting stranded as a major ice and snow storm moves through the eastern two-thirds of the country.A woman was arrested after she reportedly went to pick up her child from a daycare while drunkWhitney Jensen, 39, was arrested on suspicion of driving under thThe Gateway in downtown Salt Lake City has been listed for sale.According to an online listing from Jones Lang LaSalle, the 613,075-square-foot property, builtA Colombian man belonging to a protected class was detained by ICE while leaving immigration court.
