We withdraw our recommendation of Brad Namdar in the GOP primary for the 32nd Congressional District | Opinion
in this newspaper. This includes deeply concerning information that a woman who works as a professional escort has come forward to allege that Namdar — who has campaigned in part on his work fighting human trafficking — solicited sex from her on two occasions last spring.
It also includes a newly uncovered allegation dating to Namdar’s time as a Dallas ISD teacher that he inappropriately touched a student. Namdar, 33, denies the allegations. He said that video evidence showing a man who looks and sounds like Namdar engaged in sex acts with the escort are fake. He also said the student allegations are manufactured.The race includes five other candidates: Darrell Day, Nathan Davis, Edward Okpa, Antonio Swad and Justin Webb. We cannot recommend any candidate from the remainder of the field.
