The building at 32nd Avenue and Grant Street houses a gas station convenience store and a Denny’s restaurant, but the fire does not appear to have affected the gas pumps.
Heavy flames and smoke were seen pouring through the roof of the building as CBS 2 Shardaa Gray reports, the biggest concerns were the fuel pumps outside.“When I seen that flame shooting up it look like it was coming out of a chimney. Then five minutes later we just seen nothing but smoke going everywhere. Real dark smoke and it was just spreading,” said Louis Brown.That worker also says he saw people coming out the side and front door. His main concern was to keep workers and customers safe.
He says this is a popular destination spot for people to not only grab a bite to eat but get gas as well.Follow Us
