An absolute bargain
With our vast coastline and buzzing seaside towns, Lancashire is filled with some of the very best fish and chip shops in the country.
From rag pudding to John Bull, Lancashire is home to some of the best chippy delicacies that these shores have to offer. Like us, you may think you've heard it all before and there can't possibly be something you've not ordered yet - but you're definitely wrong to think that. After our visit to a humble, unassuming chip shop in St Anne's, we were blown away by just how quintessentially British the whole experience was.
Of course, we've all heard or enjoyed black pudding, a blood sausage popular in the UK and Ireland that often graces our breakfast table, but how many of us have heard of deep-frying one? Now, you have, seems obvious doesn't it? After hearing that Haven sold the delight, we paid a visit and managed to grab ourselves a fritter with chips for the very reasonable price of 40p. I said to myself 'even if this is disgusting, I can't complain at that, right?'.
