We compared supermarket orange juice from Aldi, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury's and Lidl
A glass of orangey goodness is a big kick of Vitamin C to start the day and it's also just a great staple to have in the fridge. Kids and alike enjoy a cold glass of OJ to wash down their breakfast or to have on a sunnier day. There's been bags of taste tests done to prove higher price doesn't guarantee higher quality, but I find with orange juice, that might not be the case.
To save on money without drinking a glass of artificial tasting fruit juice, I've ranked each supermarket brand taking into account the taste as well as the value for money. Below have been ranked from worst to best.Some things taste slightly off, or not as flavoursome and lacking any form distinguishable quality. This cup of orange juice was just weird.
After a bit of my giant pretzel the salt and the metallic orang juice clashed pretty bad so there's no way I'd bother to have that with my breakfast. The metal was so bizarre I couldn't get past it.This bottle of OJ was almost identical to the Asda bottle in taste but this one is ranked ever so slightly higher simply because the weird metal flavour while still present wasn't as overpowering in this bottle.
It did taste very refreshing but there wasn't a strong orange flavour or any sweetness to the drink that might have given it something extra. While it's not as punchy in flavour expect for the sourness, it would definitely make it on my breakfast table in the mornings an for £1.43 cheaper, it would definitely suffice as a budget replacement.Considering you could save the amount spent on this bottle by buying from Lidl, Sainsbury's just missed out on the top spot.
