“We don’t want to make excuses because we know we can be better. We know defending crosses and corners is an area we can improve upon.“Having said that, we still need to be making first contact when the ball comes into the box, and that’s not due to the officials. “As coaches, we have to take responsibility because we know defending crosses is an area that we have to improve upon, and we have to find ways to get better.”
“We were brutally honest with the group at half-time, and they came out and responded in the exact way we wanted them to respond,” said Bevans.
