Watch the Buckeyes sing 'Carmen Ohio' after trouncing Western Kentucky 63-10 in Columbus on Saturday afternoon.
OLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Buckeyes had an easy time against Western Kentucky on Saturday, and as is tradition, they joined in singing “Carmen Ohio” with the Buckeye faithful that stuck around in the south end zone after the lopsided game.
After a slow start in the first half, the Buckeyes gained momentum and ultimately trounced the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, 63-10 in the Horseshoe. “Carmen Ohio” has been part of OSU’s history since the early 1900s, and it was then-coach Jim Tressel in 2001 who started the tradition of having players sing the song for fans after every game, win or lose.Recommended Buckeyes stories
