The House Ways and Means Committee is holding an accountability hearing with Internal Revenue Service Commissioner Daniel Werfel.
The hearing is titled"Hearing on Accountability and Transparency at the Internal Revenue Service with IRS Commissioner Werfel." In the hearing, Werfel is likely to face questions regarding the $80 billion in supplemental funding the agency received through the Inflation Reduction Act last year.

The hearing will be Werfel's first appearance before Congress since he was sworn in by the Senate last month in a bipartisan vote. The hearing is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
