The 20-foot menorah on the side of the Parks Highway grew a little brighter Thursday on the second day of the festival of light.
WASILLA, Alaska -
“Bert Cottle was the one who gave us permission to put up the menorah here 10 years ago when we moved to town. He was always encouraging to us,” Greenberg said. “There’s a general universal message of Hanukkah to every single person,” Greenberg said. “Which is the idea of fighting the negative, fighting the darkness with a candle of peace.”
