A Walmart delivery driver, Alvin Ortiz, was arrested and charged with indecent exposure after allegedly engaging in inappropriate behavior in a customer's driveway. The incident occurred during a grocery delivery in July 2024.
According to the lawsuit, Alvin Ortiz was employed by Walmart as a delivery driver through their delivery program. In July 2024, an individual listed as Jane Doe was located at her home and did a grocery delivery through the platform. The lawsuit states that she requested her items be left at the door upon delivery.
According to the lawsuit and the information provided, Ortiz stayed in Jane Doe's driveway for approximately 10 to 15 minutes, and she decided to walk out to see why he was still in her driveway. When Jane Doe approached the vehicle, she saw Ortiz with his pants pulled down pleasuring himself while still in her driveway. A male neighbor of Jane Doe confronted Ortiz and a verbal altercation ensued, according to the lawsuit. Law enforcement was called to the scene and an officer took over the investigation, according to the lawsuit. Ortiz was arrested and charged with indecent exposure, and according to the lawsuit, those charges are still pending disposition at this time. The lawsuit states that Walmart and Walmart East 'owed a duty to hire, educate and train its delivery drivers, including Ortiz, on proper standard operating procedures, rules and protocols.' Public record from the J. Reuben Long Detention Center shows that Ortiz was discharged on July 10, 2024, on a $2,500 bond
