Constable Anthony Woods had only served in the force for three years when he was fatally mowed down by a vehicle during an arrest in Perth last week.
Constable Anthony Woods, 28, had stopped a vehicle bearing allegedly stolen number plates at Ascot, about 10 kilometres east of Perth's CBD on June 8.
"Constable Anthony Woods exemplified the values of the WA Police Force, and his memory will be forever etched in our hearts. WA Premier Roger Cook paid tribute to Constable Woods, who is believed to have joined the force only three years ago. Police said they had lifted the heavy vehicle to free Woods and performed CPR until paramedics arrived.
