Not all VW models performed so well, with the Taos, ID.4, and Arteon reporting sales declines
Sales of the VW Jetta climbed an impressive 35% during the third quarter. The Tiguan LWB is the only current VW model that outsells the Jetta. Total VW passenger car deliveries increased by 6% during the same quarter. There’s no denying that sedans are no longer as prevalent on the roads as they once were, but there are still plenty of appealing options available for those who seek them out. The Volkswagen Jetta is one of them, and it’s proven that sedans aren’t dead, at least not yet.
Some important updates were also made in the cabin, including the fitment of a larger 8-inch infotainment display and new climate controls. The Jetta and Tiguan LWB weren’t the only Volkswagen models to see a rise in sales during the third quarter. The Atlas, for instance, experienced a 16% jump in deliveries, with figures climbing from 16,087 units to 18,718.
